Great! You are planning to come to YWAM RIO 2016.
When Jesus walked on this planet, he ministered to sick and dying people, to the prostitutes and the outcasts. He attended to their pain and suffering, and he responded with compassion. Are you seeing, hearing and feeling the pain of this generation? Is the reality of poverty, injustice, human trafficking and slavery of children urging your heart to act? Are you ready to respond to these issues of injustice with courage and faith? Then let´s walk together through this adventure.
“YWAM Rio 2016: 8 months that will change your life” is a full-time program which includes a DTS (Discipleship Training School) with a 3-month lecture phase and 2 months of outreach, followed by a 3-month Children at Risk School (C@R). Through this program you will understand the heart of God and touch the nations by taking His compassion to the world. Be part of this wave to bring the healing and justice of the Lord to the nations!
Prerequisites:

You must be 18 years or older;

You must have been a Christian for at least 1 year and currently be in good relationship with your church.
Before you pack your bags however, there are a few things we need to know and some procedures to follow. Please read the following steps carefully and send us all necessary information so we can process you application in our admissions office.
Steps:
1. Fill out the online application form and sign the agreement.
2. Ask your pastor to fill out the online confidential pastor’s reference.
3. Ask a friend to fill out the online confidential friend’s reference.
4. Complete the online personal health form to the best of your understanding.
5. Ask your doctor to fill out the online confidential health form.
6. Obtain a state or federal criminal background check.
7. You should read and agree with the following documents:
a. Fundamental Values of YWAM International.
b. International Child Protection Policy.

Once we have received all these documents, our admissions team will evaluate them and contact you as soon as possible with our answer and further instructions.

Why Rio 2016? : During this decade the eyes of the world, and we believe also the eyes of God, are directed towards Brazil. We just had the soccer World Cup 2014 in twelve of Brazil´s major cities, and now in 2016 over 200 nations will come to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil´s most influential and perhaps the world’s most beautiful city. So come and join us during these 8 months--it will change your life and give you an opportunity to impact people from all over the world.
DTS: Discipleship Training School. During the three-month lecture phase you will learn to know God better, as mature men and women of God from all over the world will share key elements about how to know Him intimately and walk with Him in an ever-growing personal relationship. You’ll also learn how you can make Him known and be given the opportunity to practice this during the 2-month outreach.
DTS is your opportunity to develop a relationship with God as never before. It is an intense, very rewarding and yet fun experience. You will not just study the word of God but will also learn to apply it and make it real for your own life. You’ll learn to listen to the voice of God and allow Him to transform your heart. During DTS you will have the chance to wait on the Lord and know the joy of an intimate relationship with Him. DTS is a school that offers an opportunity to have your character and personality shaped according to God´s purposes for your life. The main emphases are on knowing God and providing circumstances that will help you grow in maturity in your relationship with God and the people around you.

C@R: Children at Risk School, Following the DTS Outreach, you will study in depth about God´s love for children, the attack of the enemy on the younger generation, and how we can impact the future of nations and the Kingdom of God through strategically impacting children, young people, families, communities, cultures, values and bringing transformation to our needy world.
Worldwide, millions of children are battling daily to survive, without any chance to go to school and very few opportunities for a better future. Do you want to be used by God to rescue such children at risk, restore their dignity and transform their lives, their families and communities? This is your opportunity!

University of the Nations:
Both DTS and the C@R School are registered with the University of the Nations (U of N), a truly worldwide university with campuses on each continent and in over 160 nations. Through modular education, you can take courses in many different areas while still serving on the mission field. DTS is the entrance course for the university and is also necessary for those who want to be fulltime missionaries with YWAM. The C@R School is a part of both the College of Education and the College of Counseling and Health Care.
Olympic outreach:
From August 5-21, 2016, over 200 nations will be competing in the Olympic Games, and we will be right there to reach out to tourists who arrive in Rio de Janeiro. We’ll also minister in word and deed to the residents of Rio. There will be many different ministry opportunities, such as: human trafficking, sports ministry, prayer, drama, music, dance, arts, Bible distribution, etc.
Costs of “YWAM Rio 2016":
8 months of living and learning in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, now for only US$2.300!
We can lower the price of the program “YWAM Rio 2016”, the 8 months of training in the Olympic year in Rio de Janeiro! We were offered a great building with classrooms, meeting rooms, an industrial kitchen, dorms and bedrooms for the students, in an central area of Rio de Janeiro, all for free. It's a miracle!
So, the price of "YWAM Rio 2016, eight months that will change your life", is now in Brazilian Reais (R$) :
• R$ 200.00 Registration Fee. (About US$65.00)
• R$ 6,000.00 Costs of both lecture phases of DTS and CER school, including room and board. (About US$1,920.00)
• R$ 1,000.00 basic expenses of food and transportation during the two months of evangelistic outreach. (About US$320.00)
Total R$ 7,200.00 (About US$2,300.00)
