How to work successfully with children at risk

Do you want to learn how to work with children at risk—refugee children from Syria or Iraq, children in poor communities in Brazil, India, or any city in the world? Come to Rio in 2016 for some serious training!

We, Johan and Jeannette Lukasse, founded and lead the YWAM base in Belo Horizonte for more than 27 years, where we, together with our fellow missionaries, developed many ministries focused on children at risk: street children, children and their families in poor communities, children with HIV/AIDS, children with special needs, adolescents and young adults who had been trafficked and/or sexually exploited, etc.

Just two weeks ago, we came back from Iraq where we gave a “Children@Risk” seminar for the second time this year, training a group of young refugees how to help the traumatized children in their camps.

Come learn with us (and many other experienced teachers) how to work successfully with children at risk and initiate change in their lives and communities! Starting January 2016, in conjunction with the Rio Borel YWAM base, we offer a Discipleship Training School (DTS), followed by a Children@Risk (CAR) School in Rio de Janeiro. The training culminates with extreme outreach at the 2016 Summer Olympics in August!

The training will all be given in Portuguese and English.

Please, if you are not a Brazilian and plan to do this school, you need to complete the application forms as soon as possible, because the visa procedure for Brazil may take several months!
